Established in 1973, Roots is Canada's leading independent manufacturer and retailer of high quality leather products and casual clothing for men, women and children. The international chain, which evolved from a single store with a single product - the negative heel earth shoe, was co-founded by entrepreneurs Michael Budman and Don Green. Inspired by their real-life experiences in Ontario's Algonquin Park, the co-founders have taken their lifestyle ideal and transformed it into quality, classic, casual designs in footwear, natural fiber clothing, leather jackets and accessories.
